Sintered Tungsten Block

Sintering is a method for creating objects from powders, including metal and ceramic powders. It is based on atomic diffusion. Diffusion occurs in any material above absolute zero, but it occurs much faster at higher temperatures. In most sintering processes, the powdered material is held in a mold and then heated to a temperature below the melting point. The atoms in the powder particles diffuse across the boundaries of the particles, fusing the particles together and creating one solid piece. Because the sintering temperature does not have to reach the melting point of the material, sintering is often chosen as the shaping process for materials with extremely high melting points such as tungsten and molybdenum.

Forged Tungsten Block

All of our tungsten products can be forged in high density.

The single weight of forged tungsten block may be up to 100 kilograms.

With excellent machinability, tungsten can be forged in bars, rods and blocks. These material can be used for making support bars and heating elements in vacuum furnace, glass melting electrodes, resistance welding electrodes, tubes, crucibles etc.

Tungsten Block for Weight

Tungsten block for weight is to describe tungsten block used as weight. 

Tungsten can be offered in block form and is used as ballast in the Frame Rails of Race Cars. In confined spaces where mass is required for balance, tungsten-based high density metals, higher as 18.3g/cm3, are often specified. Race cars can be given just the right "feel" or balance to maximize performance. Our Tungsten-based chassis weights are more than twice the density of steel and 50% heavier than lead. Tungsten based Race Car Ballast can be used to lower the center of gravity and/or be used to adjust the balance between the front and the rear. 

Our Tungsten based ballast block is machined to move easily into a NASCAR Frame Rail with threaded holes on both ends for easy movement and attachment to the Frame Rail. The Standard Block is 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" x 6" and weighs 35 lbs. Chinatungsten can provide such block, and have been experienced in manufacturing such tungsten block over two decades.

Tungsten Focus Block for Electron Beam Welding

Tungsten focus block is a new block of tungsten which is used for focusing the beam in EB Welding. The above one is with high density Tungsten that is manufactured for use as a focus block for high energy welding processes such as electron beam and laser. Size is 1" x 1" x 2 1/2". 

The application of tungsten focus block is just as use of tungsten electrode and for EB welding, which has been much advanced technology. Tungsten focus block for welding is with purity over 9.95%, and density over 18.3g/cm3 and with properties of high electric conductivity. When used for welding, as consumer, the block owns longer life.
