BaW electrode can be prepared by dipping method, but this method has the disadvantages of complicated operation and difficult processing. The process to produce the electrode by dipping method is as following:
Preparation of tungsten sponge: raw materials: 97g tungsten powder (250 mesh/cm2), 3g paraffin wax, 30-40cc aviation gasoline, glycerin; preparation process: pour gasoline into paraffin wax, melt the paraffin, and then pour the tungsten In the powder (about 180°C), stir quickly until no gasoline smell is smelled, then press into a block, and then sinter the pressed product at low temperature. The sintering temperature is 100~150°C/hour before rising to 600°C The speed is 200°C/hour at 600~1400°C, the temperature is about 1700°C during molding, and the final high temperature sintering (2000°C) is about half an hour.
Emission material: Put the barium aluminate into an oven at 100℃ for baking, then grind it into a block and put it in a molybdenum boat, add Al2O3 for sintering, when the sintering temperature reaches 700~800℃, Keep the temperature for 1 hour. When the sintering temperature is 1400°C, keep the temperature for 2 hours. After sintering into agglomerates, grind it to obtain a finished product.
Impregnated BaW electrode: Put barium
aluminate into nitrocellulose and stir to form a paste, apply it to the surface
of the tungsten sponge, and burn it to 1750°C until the color of the product is
light green, and then sinter it. The electrode is put into a quartz container
and vacuum-baked to obtain a finished product. Finally, the electrode is stored
in a dry vacuum environment.
