What Is JEOL’s EB Tungsten Filament？

Evaporation source materials used for vapor deposition require excellent electrical conductivity, high melting point and low vapor pressure. Filaments/heaters made of tungsten have the characteristics of high melting point, low thermal expansion coefficient, good corrosion resistance and long evaporation life. The types of EB Tungsten Filament

They include 0.55mm of mosquito type, 0.65mm of mosquito type, 0.8mm of mosquito type, 0.8mm of eccentric type and 0.55mm of half-moon type. These filaments have strong plasticity in maintaining electron gun and optical coating.

1, Mosquito Coil: the shape of the filament is similar to the mosquito coil, therefore, it can be named as Mosquito Coil. And the Mosquito Coil can be divided into many specifications.

2, Pull-type: Pull-type is also known as the cavity type of Mosquito Coil.

3, U-shaped: this kind of filament is similar to the shape of the letter U.

4, U-shaped with folding legs: the feet of the filament has a curved.

5, Half Moon: the shape of this type is the shape of a half moon.
