Tungsten wire after recrystallization is used at high temperatures and will become very fragile. In the state of shock, the wire will be easily broken. In some require high performance electric light source, in order to prevent the filament fracture, tungsten wire usually need to add 3 to 5% of rhenium, tungsten rhenium wire that can be extended brittle tungsten, even in the low temperature - room temperature or lower temperature.
